На заре 2000-х, когда огонь Metal-андеграунда был способен растопить даже сибирскую вечную мерзлоту, в одном из отдаленных районов затерянного в снегах Красноярска четверо юных металлистов основали первый состав RUBICON, взяв курс на epic heavy/doom metal. Тогда же, весной 2002, было записанно 2-х песенное кассетное Demo “Trail”, ныне являющееся раритетом. Далее следовали многочисленные концертные выступления на городских и региональных площадках (фестивали DEATHLOCATION, Пульсар и т. д.), частые смены состава (на сегодняшний день единственный участник оригинального состава RUBICON - вокалист и мастермайнд коллектива Иван “Ян” Буланков), эксперементы со стилем: внедрение элементов Power, Progressive а так же - Industrial metal. В 2010 вышел экспериментальный интернет-сингл «T-800», выдержанный в стилистике modern-heavy/industrial metal. В 2015 году, окончательно сформировав собственное оригинальное звучание, группа приступила к записи первого полноформатного альбома, получившего впоследствии название «Welcome To Wasteland». На создание и доработку лонгплея ушло 3 года и дебютник, стилистику которого сами музыканты характеризуют как Dark Heavy Metal, увидел свет в начале 2018. Релиз состоялся в мае на российском лейбле NARCOLEPTICA & MORE HATE prods.
В 2018 к группе присоединяется мега-музыкант Дима Бельф (ИЗМОРОЗЬ, ASHEN LIGHT, IMPERIAL AGE) в качестве бас-гитариста и продюссера, ознаменовав тем самым качественно новый виток в истории коллектива! В обновленном составе команда впервые выступает на столичной сцене (профессиональное видео c концерта доступно к просмотру на youtube как "RUBICON - Live in Moscow 2018") а также появляется на страницах Ведущего издания о тяжелой музыке - журнала DARK CITY!
На сегодняшний день RUBICON совместно с Бельфом, а также приглашенным гитаристом Bob Saliba (Франция. Группы GALDERIA, NINMAH, STONECAST) работает над новым альбомом "Demonstar", выход которого запланирован на 2021 год.
At the dawn of the 2000s, when the fire of the Metal Underground was able to melt even the Siberian permafrost, in one of the remote areas of Krasnoyarsk lost in the snow, four young metalheads founded the first RUBICON line-up, heading for epic heavy/doom metal. At the same time, in the spring of 2002, a 2-song cassette Demo “Trail” was recorded, now a rarity. This was followed by numerous concert performances at city and regional venues (DEATHLOCATION, Pulsar, etc.). D.), frequent line-up changes (to date, the only member of the original RUBICON line — up is the vocalist and mastermind of the band Ivan “Ian” Bulankov), experiments with the style: the introduction of elements of Power, Progressive and Industrial metal. In 2006, RUBICON has performed as the opening act of the famous Russian heavy-power metal band CATHARSIS during their Russian tour. In 2010, an experimental Internet single "T-800" was released, designed in the style of modern-heavy/industrial metal. in 2013-14, the vocalist of the group Ivan "Ian" Bulankov, as a local promoter, organizes concerts of the bands UDO, Blaze Bayley, Paul Dianno, thereby opening up new opportunities for the band "RUBICON" to develop.
In 2015, having finally formed their own original sound, the band began recording their first full-length album, which was later called "Welcome To Wasteland". The creation and completion of the longplay took 3 years and the debut album, the style of which the musicians themselves describe as Dark Heavy Metal, was released in early 2018. The release took place in May on the Russian label NARCOLEPTICA & MORE HATE prods.
In 2018, famous russian metal-musician Dmitry Belf (ИЗМОРОЗЬ, ASHEN LIGHT, IMPERIAL AGE) joins the band as a bass guitarist and producer, thus marking a qualitatively new round in the history of the band! In the updated line-up, the team performs for the first time on the capital stage (a professional video from the concert is available for viewing on youtube as "RUBICON-Live in Moscow 2018") and also appears on the pages of the Leading publication about heavy music - DARK CITY magazine!
To date, RUBICON has collaborated with Belf, as well as lead guitarist Bob Saliba (France. GALDERIA, NINMAH, STONECAST) is finished working on a new album "Demonstar", which demonstrates a new level of sound of the band and is scheduled for release in 2021!
